Chris Hemsworth in Crime 101
Chris Hemsworth will always be inseparable from his role as Thor in the MCU. He’s one of the central figures who helped launch the universe 15 years ago, and he’s still one of the most beloved stars the MCU has to offer.
Fans were concerned that Hemsworth’s days as Thor were behind him after he starred in the critically panned Thor: Love and Thunder, but they were pleasantly surprised last year when it was confirmed that he would return in Avengers: Doomsday, which will be released in theaters later this year on December 18. Hemsworth may not be done playing Thor, but he still has shown he has time to star in other non-Marvel projects, including Crime 101. The hit crime thriller arrived in theaters earlier this year. Hemsworth reunited with his long-time Marvel co-star Mark Ruffalo for the new heist thriller, which also recruited Barry Keoghan and Halle Berry for key roles. Amazon spent $90 million on the making of Crime 101, but the studio didn’t exactly earn back its investment after it grossed only $71 million at the global box office. This came despite exceptional scores of 89% from critics and 85% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes. Now that Crime 101 has concluded its theatrical run, Chris Hemsworth has taken to his personal social media to confirm that the film will begin streaming on Prime Video later this week on April 1. He made this announcement along with a new statement, saying that he’s “grateful for all the incredible support and feedback that’s come so far… It means the world to see it resonate with you all… Huge thanks to everyone who’s watched, shared, and shown love so far.” Related Remembering the Icons of Television — Collider TV Quiz These television artists were posthumously recognized for their work, and the awards they received were testaments to their lasting legacies. The space sci-fi movie is based on the novel of the same name by Andy Weir, who also wrote the book that inspired The Martian. Project Hail Mary has spent two consecutive weeks atop the box office, and the film has already eclipsed over $300 million in total earnings in less than two full weeks in theaters. Check out Crime 101 starting this Wednesday, April 1, on Prime Video, and stay tuned to Collider for more streaming updates and coverage of Hemsworth’s future projects. 8 10 Crime 101 Like Follow Followed R Crime Thriller Release Date February 13, 2026 Runtime 140 Minutes Director Bart Layton Writers Bart Layton, Peter Straughan Producers Derrin Schlesinger, Eric Fellner, Shane Salerno, Tim Bevan, Chris Hemsworth, Ben Grayson, Dimitri Doganis, Bart Layton Cast See All
