Many Starz shows feel like a direct response to HBO hits — “Outlander” as a femme-centered alternative to “Game of Thrones,” “American Gods” and “Counterpart” as brainy sci-fi/fantasy answers to “Westworld” — but Albrecht distinguished himself most by appealing to the underserved. “Power” thrived in its fifth season, while Albrecht added acclaimed new series “Vida” and “Sweetbitter,” both by and about women, and documentary shows “America to Me” and “Warriors of Liberty City.
