Preston Road was closed for nearly two hours as paramedics responded
Emergency services were called to the A6 Preston Road in Whittle-le-Woods, Chorley last night following reports of a 'serious' crash. Lancashire Constabulary shut the road between the junction of Swansey Lane and Brownley Street as paramedics responded.
The rider of the motorbike suffered a leg injury and was taken to hospital. The road reopened at around 8.50pm and no arrests were reported.In a Facebook post at 7.53pm, Chorley Police said: "Please note, Preston Road is currently closed between the junction of Swansey Lane and Brownley Street, due to a serious road traffic collision. Can all drivers please plan ahead and reroute their journeys.
A force spokesperson told LancsLive: "We were called at around 7.04pm yesterday to a report of a road traffic collision on Preston Road, Whittle-le-Woods. It was a collision between a car and a motorbike. "The rider of the motorbike suffered a leg injury and was taken to hospital. The road was reopened at approximately 8.50pm."
