Are you wily enough to crack the code? On March 30, Chipotle announced it would celebrate National Burrito Day April 2 by bringing back its Burrito Vault game for a third year. The game-slash-contest is offering more than $2 million in free Chipotle bonuses — including free burritos for a year for some lucky Chipotle Rewards members.
The brand notes that interest in “protein” and “high protein” has reached a record high in 2026, which is why it is giving away so much meaty goodness. Heightened interest in the macronutrient, a.k.a protein-maxxing, has caused companies to add protein to everything from popcorn to water. How To Play Chipotle’s Burrito Vault Starting at 9 a.m. ET on March 30, rewards members can attempt to unlock Chipotle’s Burrito Vault by guessing the exact burrito order combination for a chance to score a prize. Each day, players receive four attempts per hour, and the game runs until 8:59 p.m. ET. The vault code resets every hour, refreshing the vault with a new batch of prizes. This year, Burrito Vault features a new gameplay mode called Double Protein Power Hour. The Double Protein Power Hour occurs once each day and doubles the number of prizes compared to regular gameplay hours. All prizes will include double protein. The contest runs from March 30 until Wednesday, April 1. Hopeful safe crackers can access the game using their Chipotle Rewards email address by visiting UnlockBurritoDay.com. What You Can Win More than $2 million in Chipotle prizes are available to unlock by lucky Chipotle Rewards members: The first entrant to correctly guess the combo during each hourly drawing period will win free burritos for a year.After that, 3,600 BOGO entrees are awarded.Finally, once those are claimed, 2,000 double protein rewards are up for grabs. The double protein reward gives customers a free double protein add-on to any regular menu item. During each Double Protein Power Hour, the prizes multiply: The first two entrants to unlock the vault will win free double protein burritos for a year. Then 7,200 winners will receive double protein BOGO entrees.And finally, there are 4,000 double protein rewards up for grabs. Hungry hopefuls can win a maximum of one BOGO entrée or double protein reward during the campaign while competing for the grand prize of free burritos for a year. The BOGO, double protein BOGO or double protein reward codes are valid until 11:59 p.m. ET on April 2, 2026.
