Chipotle cooking up gift card program to support health-care workers through the coronavirus epidemic
is developing a gift card program to help customers show their appreciation for those on the frontline of the war with the coronavirus.to celebrate National Burrito Day in honor of health-care heroes caring for COVID-19 patients. CEO Brian Niccol told CNBC's Jim Cramer that the company wants to bring patrons into the giving mix.
Niccol offered no other details of the proposal. The suggestion came on the same day that global cases of COVID-19 surpassed the on million mark. More than 242,000 have been diagnosed with the infection in the United States.
