VIDEO of Hong Kong protesters beating a lawyer was seized on by China’s state media today, becoming a propaganda blow for the city’s pro-democracy movement. The assault took place Sunday during a rally against a controversial security law proposed by Beijing that was broken up by police, who fired tear gas and water cannon in the most intense clashes for months.
