Shares of China Evergrande New Energy Vehicle Group (NEV) plunged on Friday as trading resumed nearly 16 months after the stock was suspended pending the release of financial results.

In 2022, the firm had to delay mass production of its first flagship model, Hengchi 5. The firm said in June that as of May, it had delivered more than 1,000 units of the EV, whose sales started in October last year. It said its next target will include rolling out the Hengchi 6 and Hengchi 7, and it plans to raise $500 million through equity and debt financing for satisfying the capital requirements for production and sales of Hengchi 5 and its normal operations.
