After a record-setting warm Monday, we are back to chilly temps today. Wintry mix/ice Wednesday evening expected for Central Ohio then warming for rain for Thursday morning.Good Tuesday morning! How about that Monday! We broke the record high of 63, set in 1890, with a new record high temperature of 65 for February 3rd. It was nice to get outside and enjoy some mild fresh air. A cold front has swept across Ohio overnight and temperatures will be cooler today.
Wednesday will be cloudy with temps in the mid-30s. A disturbance will head into Ohio for the late afternoon and evening. The leading edge appears to have pockets of sleet, mainly north, then freezing rain for much of Central Ohio for the evening. Temperatures continue to warm up overnight for the freezing rain to start changing over to rain showers by Thursday morning. Ice accumulations could be between a tenth and a quarter of an inch.
Friday will be a quiet day, similar to today. We will have partly cloudy skies with morning temps around 27 then a high around 39. Another disturbance will bring more rain on Saturday. Morning temperatures will be around 30 and we could have some brief wintry mix Saturday morning then change over to rain as we warm to a high around 49. Rain showers wrap up early Sunday morning then staying cloudy with a high around 39. Partly cloudy, chilly, and quiet Monday with a high around 35. Next week is looking colder with highs in the 30s.
