The suit says up to ten Allentown School District employees “believed to be security officers / personnel ... needlessly and senselessly attacked” the child, who stood 4 feet 11 inches and weighed 80 pounds at the time, according to the lawsuit.
The lawsuit offers no context for the alleged beating. It identifies the student by initials but doesn’t specify the student’s age, gender or grade level at the middle school. The school serves children in grades six through eight. The lawsuit says the student suffered “severe orthopedic, neurological and emotional injuries” from the beating, although it offers no further specifics.
