The incident occurred just after 2 a.m. at the Creston Point Apartments on the 13400 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Way, according to the King County Sheriff's Office . KCSO also responded to that apartment complex for multiple"We were just getting ready to go to bed, hear a couple shots, and then hear people screaming and fire trucks, police, ambulance right away," Mario Littlefield, who lives at the complex, said.
The child, whose age is unknown, was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with "life-threatening injuries," according to the Skyway Fire Department."We hope to have answers to those questions in the next few hours or few days, it’s going to take awhile for us to piece this together," Sgt. White said."Makes me sick to my stomach because these people around here have no care or concern for anybody around here," Katarena Loven said.
"There’s always something going on here, just sad what happened, a kid got shot, that’s always a terrible thing," Littlefield said. "We don’t let our kids go outside and play at night, every time you hear a shooting, go check, make sure a stray bullet doesn’t come through the house or anything. It’s sad, we want to get out of here as soon as possible."
