PUTRAJAYA: A Social Welfare Department-registered childcare centre that was allegedly involved in child abuse cases was found to have not complied with the Child Care Centre Act 1984.
The Women, Family and Community Development Ministry said this was discovered following an inspection by the department on March 29.
It said the ministry viewed the issue seriously and will not compromise on the safety of children at childcare centres under the department. “If there is negligence on the part of the babysitter that results in injury to the child, immediate action should be done by reporting the matter to the department and police," it said.
