The nine-year-old was rushed to hospital for treatment following the collision in Kirkcaldy on Thursday night.
Emergency services were called to the collision on Bennochy Road in Kirkcaldy shortly after 7pm on Thursday, August 24.
The road was closed by police for around three hours to allow cops to investigate the crash. The force's probe into the incident remains ongoing.
