They pinned their reasons on a heavy Covid-19 attack which saw 31 of their players, coaches and other support staff turn in positive test results for the deadly viral infection. And if the PSL were to follow their rules like they did last season, Amakhosi would lose the game by 3-0 and City would get those points even though they didn’t even get to kick the ball once. City did arrive on time at FNB Stadium on Saturday evening but were locked outside as the venue was not open.
There have however not been any official announcements from Chiefs since Friday evening when they announced that they would not be hosting their game.
