KUALA LUMPUR: Muar MP Syed Saddiq Abdul Rahman has been found guilty on all charges of abetting in criminal breach of trust (CBT), misappropriation of funds and money laundering.
PETALING JAYA: Chicken farmers in Johor have not received any subsidies since July 2022, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong."I brought-up this issue in Dewan Rakyat in February and followed it up by submitting information of the complainants in a briefing four months ago," said Dr Wee in a Facebook post on Thursday .
"I also highlighted in the Dewan Rakyat the case of the Klang Valley Farmers Association president who allegedly bribed a ministry official to expedite the chicken and eggs subsidy payment. "The official had since been remanded by the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission. I hope such a practice will not become a trend," said the Ayer Hitam MP.
Dr Wee said he appealed to the government to allow small and medium farmers to continue their operations without being subject to the condition of constructing enclosure that will cost as high as RM10mil.
