“We’ve been running a tad cooler than normal here through the last part of April,” NWS meteorologist Zachary Yack said.Temperatures were five to 10 degrees below normal seasonal temperatures throughout the end of April, he added. Highs typically cross into the 70s in mid-May, he said.Some areas north of Interstate 88 near the Illinois state line might even see snow mix into morning rain Monday, the NWS predicted.
