A West Loop, Chicago shooting left a man shot and killed outside a Greyhound bus station on Harrison Street, the police department said.
Evidence markers lined the sidewalk right in front of Chicago's Greyhound bus terminal on Monday, where just before 11:30 a.m., a man was shot and killed in what appears to have been a targeted attack.
"The victim parked his vehicle right in front of the Greyhound station. Upon exiting his vehicle he was approached by one offender who fired multiple rounds at the victim," said Jill Stevens with the Chicago Police Department.Police said the victim was rushed to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. As for the shooter, investigators said he fled on foot. Chopper 7HD flew above the scene as police investigated and closed off nearby streets.
After being interrupted for a couple of hours, bus operations resumed at the terminal, with buses now arriving and departing as scheduled.
