Chicago Police seek to identify carjacker who struck in broad daylight on South Side
CHICAGO -- Police on Thursday were asking for help in identifying a man who carjacked someone at gunpoint in broad daylight in the South Side's Washington Heights neighborhood.The carjacking took place at 11:08 a.m. Aug. 26 in the 9800 block of South Halsted Street .
The carjacker then runs up on the BMW and pointing a gun with an extended magazine at the driver.Police said the carjacker got away with the vehicle and the victim's personal items.The carjacker is described as a Black male between the ages of 18 and 20, standing between 5 feet 6 and 5 feet 8 inches tall. He is seen wearing a white T-shirt with the word 'VLONE' on the front, gray and black jogging pants, and Asics gym shoes.
