The shooting happened a little before noon in the 2100 block of South St. Louis Avenue, police confirmed.Chicago fire officials said a man in his 20s was taken to an area hospital in critical condition. An officer was also taken to a separate hospital for evaluation.CPD said information would be released as it becomes available. Chicago's Civilian Office of Police Accountability confirmed it was responding to the scene.
