This comes after an investigation by the Inspector General (OIG) revealed hundreds of gifts received by the Mayor's Office, including luxury items like handbags and cufflinks. While the Mayor insists he's following city ethics rules, the OIG found concerns about transparency and access to the gift logbook. The OIG maintains that investigators should be able to physically inspect the gifts, which they were denied access to.
