Jones, a Murray High School graduate and three-year starter for the Thunderbirds, was a two-time All-Big Sky first-team selection and earned Associated Press FCS All-America honors last season. Listed on the SUU roster at 6-foot-7 and 310 pounds, Jones was selected with the 168th overall pick. He became the fourth Southern Utah player drafted into the NFL, joining Miles Killebrew , Leshaun Sims , and Brad Sorensen .
