Chevrolet Shows Silverado EV Towing, Truck Now Has 170k Reservations | Carscoops carscoops
Besides the towing footage, Chevrolet released a new picture of a pre-production model and announced additional specifications for the WT and RST. While we’ll have to wait a little longer for full details, the Silverado EV measures 233.1 inches long and has a 145.7 inch wheelbase. To put those numbers into perspective, the EV is 1.2 inches longer than the Silverado Crew Cab with the 5’ 8” bed, but has a 1.7 inch shorter wheelbase.
Chevrolet also said the EV has 8.9 inches of ground clearance as well as approach and departure angles of 21.7 and 22.9 degrees. However, if you’re planning to go off-roading, you’ll probably want to wait for the which has rugged styling, red recovery hooks, and unique wheels wrapped in meaty tires. Chevrolet hasn’t said much else about the model, but we wouldn’t be surprised if the truck was equipped with an adaptive air suspension.Other noteworthy specs include a front eTrunk that can hold up to 10.7 cubic feet of cargo. The Silverado EV WT is aimed at fleets and is slated to have 510 hp and 615 lb-ft of torque. The model is also expected to have a range in excess of 400 miles .
