Barclay Farms Shopping Center, the site of a years-long battle to keep a Wawa superstore out, has been acquired for $16.1 million.

In addition to other gas stations, Wawa has at least a half-dozen stores, most with gasoline service, in Cherry Hill.Preserve BarclayWright said she and her Cherry Hill neighbors are “cautiously optimistic” about the sale of Barclay Farms.
The Bergman group already owns an office building nearby, and “it’s well maintained and a good neighbor,” Wright said. The new owners plan to bring retail options, as well as medical offices to the 87,750-square-foot shopping center. Currently, 96% of the lots are filled; existing businesses include Planet Fitness, Dollar Tree and the UPS Store.
