Friday (June 28) marks the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots in Greenwich Village, Manhattan, and many LGBTQ celebrities and allies have taken to social media to celebrate Pride.
Cher, a longtime supporter of the LGBTQ community, took to Twitter to post a heartfelt message. "Can’t Believe It’s 50 YRS SINCE STONEWALL," she wrote. "Don’t Have Anything Witty Or Smart 2 Say..actually I’m in tears writing this."
"U HAVE FOUGHT SO LONG,BEEN SO STRONG,IM BEAMING WITH PRIDE," she continued.
