Chelsea, Spurs blow as PSG make ‘first contact’ with manager target as ‘eviction’ is ‘considered’Ligue 1 giants PSG have reportedly made “first contact” with ex-Bayern Munich boss Julian Nagelsmann, amid interest from Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.
The 35-year-old has lots of options, with a move to Chelsea or Tottenham already being discussed. The Premier League clubs have sacked Graham Potter and Antonio Conte respectively.. He was previously targeted by the club’s hierarchy while he managed RB Leipzig.it was reported that he or Luis Enrique are now ‘increasingly likely’ to replace Potter at Stamford Bridge.
The club’s current boss – Christophe Galtier – ‘will no longer’ be in charge next season. A ‘short-term eviction’ is being ‘seriously considered’ and they have already ‘made contact’ with Nagelsmann.Last month, journalist Ben Jacobs explained why Tottenham could slip out of contention to appoint Nagelsmann.
“And this is why there are no guarantees for Tottenham, because Julian Nagelsmann will not be short of options. Almost certainly he will have an option that has Champions League Football next season. And if that’s not Tottenham, then they suddenly don’t become front-runners to land somebody like him.
