Chelsea were handed their first loss in the Premier League following a 3-1 defeat to ten-man West Ham United on Sunday evening.
New signing Moses Caicedo was named on the bench by the Blues, who were without club captain Reece James due to a long-term injury as Malo Gusto made his full debut for the club at right-back.
Chelsea were fortunate not to get a spot-kick from a foul on Nicolas Jackson by goalkeeper Alphonse Areola, but nothing came thereof with the player caught offside by the pitch-side review team. However, Chelsea could’ve gone ahead on 41 minutes through a spot-kick by Enzo Fernandez following a foul on Raheem Sterling but Areola smothered the Argentine international.
David Moyes’ men were in front again a little to five minutes after halftime when Michail Antonio displayed great body strength around the area and nestled a powerful strike into the bottom-corner.
