A chef sobbed and prayed in the dock after demanding £2,000 from a woman while threatening to upload sexual videos of her to a pornographic website. Rubel Ahmed was arrested at an airport upon his arrival back in the UK, having sent the clips to her boyfriend's relatives.
The complainant contacted the police at this stage, and the defendant was arrested at Manchester Airport on April 3 while flying back into the country. He 'has no convictions or cautions recorded against him in this jurisdiction'. Rebecca Smith, defending, told the court: 'He apologises for the hurt and humiliation he has caused. He knows that the behaviour he has demonstrated is not acceptable.
