A Netflix spokesperson issued a statement on Jerry Harris' child porn charge: “Like everyone we are shocked by this news. Any abuse of minors is a terrible crime and we respect the legal process”
was arrested Thursday on a charge that he enticed a 13-year-old boy to send him explicit photos and videos.
Harris faces one count of producing child pornography, and made an initial court appearance in Chicago on Thursday afternoon. He will be held in custody at least until a detention hearing on Monday,Chicago Tribune reporter Jason Meisner. Federal prosecutors are arguing that he should be denied bond, as he poses a danger to the community.
According to the complaint, Harris also sought images from the boy’s twin brother, but the brother refused. The complaint also states that Harris blocked the boy on Snapchat in February 2020. When the boy asked why, Harris replied: “I’m sorry for what I’ve done in the past. I don’t think it’s a good idea we be friends on Snap.”against Harris on Monday in Tarrant County, Texas.
They urged the authorities to investigate three cheer organizations — the United States All Star Federation, Varsity Spirit, and Cheer Athletics — to determine if any of their employees knew about the abuse and failed to stop it.
