Cheeky dad sneaks overage son into Glastonbury Festival to attend his wedding
A dad from Preston was able to get married with his son as his best man - after successfully getting the young lad into Glastonbury Festival despite him being overage.
Glastonbury Festival allow adults to take children with them up until the age of 12. This would have permitted Spencer free access to the festival with his parents in 2020 but that was no longer the case by 2022. Knowing that Spencer appearing younger than he is was crucial to his plans, Wayne dressed his son in a school pullover with tiger face paint and hoped that security would let him pass - which they did.
Wayne said: "It is absolutely not a money thing, we just didn't think and then we couldn't have a situation where my best man wasn't coming to the wedding, could we? He's had the time of his life even though he's with his parents and it was super important to us both that he was there for one of our biggest days. We even tried emailing the ticket company to see if they could help but it's obviously not their problem.
