Parsons hard work in the preseason is reportedly paying off in a big way early in Cowboys camp.
“He has ruined practice for the offense every day since the Cowboys put pads on,” Hill Jr. wrote. “It doesn’t matter who he lines up against — Tyron Smith, Terence Steele, matt Waletzko or Chumo Edoga.”
“He’s very impactful,” Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy told Hill Jr.. “Just talking with him a bit afterward, he said, ‘I’ll be better tomorrow.’ The offensive side of me said, ‘Hell, I hope not.’ Glad to hear him put that emphasis on where he is and what he’s trying to get done.” Parsons has 26.5 sacks across his first two seasons. ESPN has already predicted that he will set a record as the highest paid NFL defensive player of all time with a contract worth more than $32 million per season after he is allowed to negotiate a new deal with the team following this season.Parsons is in the third-year of his four-year rookie deal which was valued at $17 million.
