"I actually read for Steve Harrington, and I forgot all the lines and absolutely effed up," Chase said. "I drove eight hours from Atlanta back to Orlando, regretting every moment of my life on that. While he may not have landed the role of Steve, The Duffer Brothers did cast Chase in the show's premiere season as a character named Reed.According to Chase, his character didn't have any lines, but he still appreciated the role.
