It could be possible to snap up this CT5-V Blackwing whose bodywork was destroyed by a blaze for a bargain
Parts of the CT5-V Blackwing’s body were melted by intense flames. Fortunately, it appears the engine was left untouched by the inferno. This 6.2-liter V8 could be used as a spare or for an epic project car.
The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing stands as one of the last true expressions of raw American performance, a true-blooded alternative to European icons like the BMW M5 and Audi RS6, powered by a massive supercharged V8 and looking like it’s been injected with steroids. Read: This Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing 120th Ann. Lost Nearly $50K After Just 3,600 Miles Unfortunately, one particular 2025 example won’t be prowling the highways any longer. Its short-lived existence has ended in Oklahoma with a junk title after suffering extensive fire damage. Clearly, this CT5-V won’t be hunting down BMWs or Audis anymore. The charred Caddy, now listed for auction through IAAI, shows just 2,503 miles on the clock, barely broken in before disaster struck. As is expected with listings of damaged cars like this, no details have been provided as to how it ended up in such a sorry state, but the impact of the blaze on the Cyber Yellow Metallic paint is evident. Up front, the black plastic grille has melted completely, as have several other plastic parts across the fascia. The headlights have also partially melted, while the top half of the car now has a deep orange color with large areas of black. Importantly, it wasn’t an engine fire that left the CT5-V looking like this. A look under the hood shows the engine bay is pristine, which should mean the 6.2-liter mill is still in perfect running order . The transmission, suspension, and braking components also appear to have survived, which could make this burnt-out shell a treasure trove for someone handy with a wrench. While it might be possible to replace the body panels to get the sports sedan back to looking its best, images in the listing show that the blaze did not affect the interior, which looks intact. While restoring the CT5-V’s scorched panels might be technically possible, the smarter move for any buyer would likely be to strip it for parts. Photos in the listing show that the interior seems largely intact, spared from the worst of the fire.
