Two weeks ago, I had dinner with a mixed group of Conservative and Labour MPs. We joked about coronavirus and agreed that the most likely future for British politics was one where the Tories enjoy a decade in power. Politics wasn't so much about whether Boris Johnson would win again as about what he'd do with all his power.
