after the city entered into a $12 million settlement with Taylor’s family, described as one of the largest such settlements in a case involving a Black person’s death at the hands of police, in which Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer announced steps to encourage officers to live in certain sections of the city and encouraging them to work more closely with community-based organizations.
