ChargEV's new membership plan offers 50% off on all EV chargers and free RM50/month credit. With the plan, their AC charger is cheaper than charging at home.
, here’s an annual plan that you might want to consider. The ChargEV Yearly Essential Plan which costswill allow you to enjoy 50% off at all ChargEV AC and DC charging stations on their network for one year.
On top of that, you will also receive RM50 in free charging credits monthly, which are credited directly to your wallet. The ChargEV Yearly Essential Plan can be purchased via the ChargEV app. From the home screen, tap on the “MORE” tab on the bottom right of the screen, and then tap on Profile & Memberships. From here, you can tap on ChargeEV Yearly Essential Plan to register., the new Essential Plan replaces the old ChargEV membership which costs RM240/year. The discontinued legacy plan allowed members to enjoy unlimited free charging at selected AC charge points which can be activated via an NFC card.
However, as more chargers are being deployed with kWh-based pricing, it seems that ChargEV is moving from its previous unlimited free model towards a discount pricing model similar to Gentari’s Annual Membership. For RM788/year, ChargEV’s membership is cheaper than Gentari and you do get the extra perk of receiving RM50 of free charging credits monthly, which is effectively RM600 free credits in 12 months.RM1.60 per kWh.
