A West Jordan woman is facing criminal charges for allegedly claiming her significant other was dead — even though he wasn't — and collecting life insurance money.
<p>WEST JORDAN — A West Jordan woman is accused of trying to collect life insurance money by falsely claiming her significant other was dead.
 28, 2023, the woman filed a life insurance claim, alleging the man had been involved in a car crash while in Mexico on July 18, 2023, and died on Aug. 10, 2023, the charges state.
