Can he repeat the damage on Monday?
Your Los Angeles Chargers submitted perhaps their most convincing win of the 2023 season last weekend, an emphatic 30-13 victory over the lowly Chicago Bears. Chicago lost its second of three games under reserve quarterback Tyson Bagent today, a 24-17 defeat to the New Orleans Saints, that drops the team to a 2-7 record.
The Chargers, meanwhile, are 3-4 after beating Chicago last week, and are hoping to improve to a .500 record tomorrow against the 4-3 New York Jets, who've won three straight contests under their own substitute quarterback, Zach Wilson. After the game last week, head coach Brandon Staley spoke with gathered reporters about the standout performance of LA's most important player, quarterback Justin Herbert, in helping the Bolts secure the W and in essence save their season."I just saw really good rhythm and timing, I thought he was decisive. When he's playing like that he's going to have numbers like that, where you see 31-of-40 for , three touchdowns, no interceptions.
For the season, Herbert appears well on-track to make his second Pro Bowl appearance. The 25-year-old out of Oregon boasts a 101.1 passer rating, has completed 68.7% of his throws, has passed for 1,890 yards, and has notched 13 touchdowns already this year.
