The Los Angeles Chargers secured their spot in the AFC Playoffs with a convincing victory over the Las Vegas Raiders in their final game of the regular season. This marks the team's return to the playoffs in coach Jim Harbaugh's first season with the Chargers.

(AP Photo/John Locher) The Chargers are back in the AFC Playoffs in coach Jim Harbaugh’s first season in LA, finishing a blue-collar campaign with an 11-6 overall record and a 6-3 mark in road games. Los Angeles went from a borderline-postseason berth to grabbing the No.
5 seed with three straight victories over the Denver Broncos (34-27), New England Patriots (40-7) and Las Vegas Raiders (34-20) to close out the season. Those three contests also happened to mark the three highest scoring outputs of the season for Justin Herbert and the offense, including a 28-of-36 passing performance for Herbert against the Raiders for 346 yards, two touchdowns and a 125.2 passer rating. After a breakout 2023 season and big free agent acquisitions in wideout Stefon Diggs and running back Joe Mixon, the Texans entered the ‘24 season with massive expectations. While Houston didn’t reach those expectations, due in large part to injury woes, the team did get back to the AFC Playoffs for a second straight year. The Texans got a good gauge of where they stand among the AFC’s elite late in the season with losses to No. 1 seed Kansas City (27-19) and No. 3 Baltimore (31-2) in Weeks 16 and 17, respectively. Houston won the AFC’s weakest division by two games and closed on a high note with a 23-14 road win over the Tennessee Titans
