'Does anyone want to watch a programme about a plague right now?'
Channel 5 boss Ben Frow has admitted that he’s debating airing a ‘beautifully-made’ show about the plague during the currentDirector of Programmes Ben Frow was speaking at the digital Edinburgh TV Festival today, where he spoke about how the channel was dealing with the wide-spread industry problems caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
One such show that might not make it to air given the current climate is Epidemic: The Great Plague, a three-part documentary exploring the last great bubonic plague to hit Britain in 1665-1666.Frow said the series was ‘a beautifully-made programme,’ but said that it may be pushed back given the current climate.
