Festival Women’s Luncheon to celebrate the Through Her Lens Program at The Greenwich Hotel on Friday in New York City. For the occasion, Holmes stuck to her usual relaxed street style, elevating the look withSlingbacks in black goatskin leather and grosgrain.
The shoes retail for $1,175 and feature a block heel measuring around 2.6 inches. The fashion house also offers the shoes in a taller version with a heel measuring 3.5 inches, and they retail for $1,225. Both versions feature an almond-shaped toe, which adds to the timelessness of the style.
Tilda Swinton Gives Chanel's Cap-toe Slingbacks an Icy Couture Spin in Seoul The shoes feature the signature Chanel cap-toe design, and Holmes’ toe cap was made with a grosgrain material covering, while the upper and straps are made from leather. The shoe features a slingback strap that travels up the outer side of the shoe. It then wraps around the ankle, leaving a small exposed panel on that side of the foot and the instep fully exposed.
The shoes are completed by a distinct interlocking CC logo on the side of the block heel. The actress paired the shoes with straight-leg jeans in a dark gray wash with a black belt and a structured, crisp white T-Shirt tucked into the pants. She completed the look with a white quilted Chanel 25 hobo handbag featuring a gold-tone metal chain strap and a drawstring closure.
Holmes joined other stars like Jodie Foster, Meg Ryan, Myha’la, and more at the Greenwich Hotel Courtyard in New York. The famous guests were outfitted in Chanel as the brand hosted its annual lunch in celebration of Through Her Lens: The Tribeca Chanel Women’s Filmmaker Program.
