, the highly anticipated Indian Tamil-language comedy horror film, has mesmerized audiences with its thrilling climax. Released on September 28, 2023, this sequel, written and directed by P. Vasu and produced byThe story revolves around Ranganayaki, the matriarch of a wealthy family beset by a series of misfortunes. The household includes her elder brother and his son with his family, and her younger brother and his family. She is also the mother of Gayathri, Priya, and Divya.
Upon reaching Vettaiyapuram, the family encounters a string of supernatural events, including the release of Chandramukhi’s vengeful spirit. Divya is soon possessed by the spirit of Chandramukhi. Divya miraculously regains her ability to walk under Chandramukhi’s influence, creating chaos in the household.
King Vettaiyan also becomes enamored by Chandramukhi’s beauty, sparking a confrontation between him and Sengottaiyan. This confrontation results in Vettaiyan’s beheading, and Sengottaiyan declares himself as the new king, adopting the name Vettaiyan. Despite Chandramukhi’s pleas about her love for Gunasekaran, Vettaiyan keeps her captive.
With the spirits of Chandramukhi and Vettaiyan finally laid to rest, Ranganayaki’s family is able to perform the prayer at their deity temple. They depart from the palace with Pandiyan.
