Follow live score & text updates as Sheffield Wednesday host Sunderland in the EFL Championship.
Not great if you're a Wednesday fan, if I'm honest. The Owls are bottom with just two points, the only winless side remaining in the second tier.
If we're looking for crumbs of comfort, however, you could say it's been a tough start at home. They suffered a 2-1 defeat to a strong Southampton side fielding several Premier League players on the opening weekend, while they lost their next two at Hillsborough by just 1-0 to Preston and Ipswich, who are among the pacesetters.
Wednesday drew their last floodlit home game 1-1 with Middlesbrough after a decent first half and if they can shake off the manner of Saturday's 3-0 capitulation at Swansea, then they will hope to build on that. By contrast Sunderland have been quietly going about their business. Tony Mowbray was not panicking when they lost their opening two games, also to Ipswich and Preston, and they recovered taking 13 points from their next five games before Sunday's surprise 1-0 defeat at home to Cardiff halted their momentum. Not only have they won five of their last seven away league games, but they have won more than any other side on the road since the start of last season, picking up 13 victories.
