The high cost of living has generated rising employee fears about job security and prompted record numbers of people to consider changing jobs, new data shows.

“From October to December last year, we saw a 9 per cent increase in candidates changing roles in search of greater job security.” Among high-income earners who changed jobs in the last 12 months, 42 per cent were not actively looking for a job. “Instead of saying you must come to work this day or that day, actually create an anchor day, so having one day of the week to start with that the whole organisation comes in,” she says.
