The vote drew a big crowd Tuesday evening to the Red Mill Elementary School gymnasium in Newberry Township, with many expressing their opposition to the proposed sale. In the end, they got their wish.

The water company offered $30 million initially and then came back with a $53 million offer but the higher offer attracted no additional support from the township residents who came out in force on Tuesday evening to the Red Mill Elementary School gymnasium.
