Eric Epstein, founder of the government watchdog group Rock the Capital, has announced his candidacy for the open 105th House District seat.

Epstein, 62, of Lower Paxton Township, is running for the Democratic nomination in this newly configured district that now has a Democratic registration advantage. It includes all of Susquehanna Township, parts of Lower Paxton Township, and parts of Penbrook. “As state representative, I will use my extensive skill sets developed as a public interest advocate and government watchdog for the last 35 years and as a Central Dauphin School Board member to continue to fight for your family and ensure you finally get the representation you need and deserve in Harrisburg.” Epstein said. “I am committed to honesty, fairness, and transparency, regardless of your party or pocketbook.
Epstein, a Harrisburg native, is founder of RocktheCapital, a government watchdog group, and chairman of the Three Mile Island Alert, Inc., a safe-energy organization.
Epstein ran for Dauphin County controller last year and narrowly was defeated. He came close in 2018 to winning this same House seat when it was configured differently and Republicans held a registration advantage.. Follow her on Twitter at @JanMurphy.
