Good morning, Central Ohio! It will be a quiet start to Sunday with plenty of sunshine in the morning. Strong warm air advection will push temperatures to near records this afternoon. Highs will soar into the low 80s!There is still uncertainty about whether storms will ignite along the cold front.
The environment will be capped, which could prevent storm development. However, if storms are able to break the cap, the main threats will be large hail and gusty winds. Some cells could produce hailstones up to 1-2”. Stay weather aware! Once the cold front passes, the severe weather threat will decrease. Storms and rain showers will still be possible behind the cold front through the overnight hours.Overnight lows plummet into the upper 30s. Clouds clear out on Monday as a high-pressure system settles into the region. Temperatures will be cooler in the upper 40s. We rebound to near normal by Tuesday in the low 50s. By Wednesday, we climb into the low 60s. The 70s return on Thursday ahead of our next cold front.
