Late-week snow showers then much colder for the weekend.FRIDAY: Cloudy, chance for snow showers, high 31.Good Monday morning! The first couple days of the week will be quiet and chilly, but then we get wet midweek before temps plummet by the weekend. Today we will be mostly cloudy with a disturbance passing by to our south. We may get a few flurries in Southern Ohio, but Central Ohio will likely stay dry with a high around 30 and a light breeze out of the northeast, 5-15 mph. Mostly cloudy tonight as temps dip to around 17 by Tuesday morning. Mostly cloudy again tomorrow with a high around 38 with winds picking up, out of the southwest, 10-20 mph. There is a very slim chance for a flurry in the morning or some light rain/mix arriving late, but most of Central Ohio will remain dry again on Tuesday. Wednesday will likely be wet for Central Ohio with scattered rain showers. Right now we appear to warm up to around 42 in Columbus, so most of the precipitation during the day will be light rain showers. Northern Ohio will be a little colder for some wintry mix. Colder air arrives Wednesday night and the rain will transition to some wintry mix and light snow showers for Central Ohio.Later this week we will have the chance for snow showers, but timing and amounts vary greatly still on the forecast models. Most of the models are showing light snow showers possible Thursday with a high around 32. Then a heavier snow possible Friday or Saturday, depending on the models. Right now I am leaning more towards Friday PM for the snow to hedge the bets. Colder air blasts in for the weekend, on all guidance, with high temps around 20 for Saturday and Sunday. Low temps will be dipping down into the lower teens as well.
