Celtic Park and Ibrox are set to be included on the EA FC 24 game, which will be released at the end of September.
It has been for too many years that fans of the Glaswegian duo have had to put up with Eastpoint Arena or Ivy Lane as their stadiums on EA Sports’ FIFA series, watching Premier League teams such as Bournemouth and Brentford - admittedly with tiny grounds in comparison to Ibrox and Parkhead - receive the lavish treatment that the English top-flight gets with their grounds being added to FIFA editions, whilst Celtic and Rangers were left in the dark.
However, with the new EA FC 24 game on the way at the end of the month as a result FIFA ending their partnership with EA after 31 years, it’s brought about a surprise for the clubs. The Old Firm rivals are set to have the two monoliths inputted into the new game as playable stadiums, bringing the long era of a disparity between English and Scottish football to an end from EA Sports.
The likelihood of ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ being adorned into Celtic Park is high, as Liverpool’s Anfield currently boasts the sound effect - but it is the ‘It’s A Grand Old Team’ chant that features in the trailer, which gives away a hint that it will feature. Rangers may also have special touches put into Ibrox, though their preview was only glossed over with dramatic music.
The two stadia were announced as being in the game earlier in the summer, and now budding players with a green or blue persuasion can see trailers of their stadiums below.
