Security will be on high alert this week after Rangers fans behaviour caused their clash with Dundee to be delayed for over 18 minutes on Wednesday.
Ross County have issued a stern warning to all supporters attending Saturday's match against Celtic as the club backed the banning of pyrotechnics.
Brendan Rodgers' side travel up to Dingwall seeking another three points following a hard-fought victory over St Mirren in midweek. While County will be determined to cause an upset and propel themselves up the Scottish Premiership table.
The section lay mostly empty when St Mirren visited Celtic Park on Wednesday evening and the fans in the areas nearby displayed a banner expressing their views on the matter. Rangers were visitors to Dundee on the same night and their supporters were also in the limelight after the match was halted for 18 minutes because of flares being let off in the stands. Dens Park was engulfed in smoke, setting off fire alarms and forcing the players off the pitch.
Governing body SPFL made it clear today that the extensive use of pyrotechnics is 'very concerning' and 'unwelcome' in the Scottish game and it looks like clubs are already being told to clamp down on such behaviour re-occuring, with Celtic versus Ross County the next Premiership match in the spotlight.
A statement on Ross County's official website read: “We remind all supporters that unacceptable conduct will not be tolerated at our stadium. This includes pitch incursions, use of pyrotechnics as well as threatening and abusive behaviour towards stewards and club staff.”
