The Ayrshire side headed to Glasgow's east end full of hope after defeating Brendan Rodgers' side earlier this season, but it wasn't to be for the Rugby Park men as Reo Hatate, Luis Palma and Greg Taylor bagged Celtic's goals.And it was another afternoon that VAR was under the microscope as Celtic's second goal appeared to be offside despite a VAR check saying Palma's strike stood.
Former Killie favourite Taylor went close with a volley in the 18th minute, thankfully for Will Dennis it flew narrowly over the crossbar. Palma took advantage of a slack pass from Joe Wright to exchange a one-two with Hatate – who appeared to be offside despite a VAR check – before curling a 20 yard shot into his the near post 10 minutes before half-time.
Kyogo had a great chance just after the hour mark but his initial effort looped on to the post before he blazed a rebound into the stands.
