It feels like a lifetime ago that London and Paris were in a bidding war to host the Olympic Games and now it's finally Paris' turn. The 2024 Olympic Games officially start on 27 July and are bound to deliver some of the finest moments in sporting history.
So far, we know that rapper Snoop Dogg is heading to France to support Team USA, Priyanka Chopra Jonas is supporting Team India, actor Russell Crowe will be cheering on Australia, and Ryan Reynolds is backing Team Canada. We also know that, so there's a chance Rihanna, ASAP Rocky and their brood might be in attendance as well.
These stars follow a long tradition of celebrity involvement in the Games, particularly for those who found fame during their sporting career. Legendary boxer Muhammad Ali, for example, who won a gold medal in the Rome 1960 Olympic Games, carried the torch 36 years later at the opening ceremony of the 1996 Games in Atlanta.
